Hear and Say

Each year, up to three babies in every 1,000 born across Australia are affected by hearing loss, with the incidence of hearing loss doubling by the time children start school. Without adequate hearing, the normal process of developing spoken language is seriously affected, creating barriers to a child’s education and career opportunities, as well as their ability to live independently.

A Queensland-wide charity, Hear and Say supports children with hearing loss to reach their full potential by teaching them to listen and speak. We achieve this through state-of-the-art hearing technology (including cochlear implants) and specialised Listening and Spoken Language Therapy.
